Changing the default application for opening files

When you double-click a file, a default app launches to open it. But what if the app that runs isn't the one you want, and you'd rather have another program handle the task of automatically opening that file format?

Fortunately, this is something that can easily be changed. Simply right-click on the file in question, select ‘Open with,' and select the program you want to use to open that format from the fly-out menu that appears.
